Brother's Size

The drafts seen below are of a theoretical project I did of the play "Brother's Size". This set was designed on a thrust stage, where the entire stage and audience were surrounded by a glass enclosure, that is barricaded with H-beams made out of steel. The stage is raised on a platform and surrounded by dirt and rubble, made to look like an island floating on the theatre's floor. This was meant to depict a sense of isolation and imprisonment; not only for the characters, but the audience as well.

Set Design by Jihane Fareseddine
The drafts seen below are of a theoretical project I did of the play "Amadeus". When first designed, I went with a rotating platform, but instead decided to go with 4 individual walls, that spun on wheels and attached at the seam- with magnets. One side was to depict an ornate, neoclassical home, whilst the other side displayed a decrepit one- which served as an allegory of Salieri's downfall.

I decided to place the orchestra on a glass floor, perched above the set.
